Energy Smart
Energy Smart offers energy efficiency solutions to help New Orleans residents and businesses save energy and money. The comprehensive energy efficiency plan was developed by the New Orleans City Council and is administered by Entergy New Orleans. Any residential, commercial, or industrial Entergy New Orleans electric customer is eligible to participate. The program offers cash incentives for energy efficiency audits, upgrades and more. Energy Smart has paid more than $39 million in incentives to more than 98,000 participants, saving customers nearly 325 million kWh.
Energy Smart offers free home energy assessments and instant rebates to residential Entergy New Orleans electric customers. The program uses a comprehensive, whole-house approach to improving energy efficiency, and comfort through home improvements. The Energy Smart Program is also available to commercial customers that receive electrical service from Entergy New Orleans. Energy Star
Energy Star is a national energy efficiency program run by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Energy. Since 1992, ENERGY STAR and its partners helped American families and businesses avoid more than $450 billion in energy costs and achieve 4 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas reductions.
We partner with ENERGY STAR to advance innovations in residential energy efficiency programs and technologies to improve the affordability of home energy upgrades for diverse households through Home Performance. In fact, Entergy New Orleans’ Energy Smart program has been awarded the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award four times since 2014 for its exemplary commitment and dedication to energy efficiency.

Portfolio Manager
Are you an owner of multitenant buildings? The Council for the City of New Orleans passed a series of resolutions to allow owners with four or more meters to obtain aggregated, anonymized energy usage date for such buildings from Entergy New Orleans without first obtaining written permission of each individual account holder or tenant. We created an automated solution to aggregate and transmit usage data to the Energy Star Portfolio Manager.
Portfolio Manager is an interactive resource management tool that enables you to track and assess energy and water use across your entire portfolio of buildings. Based on the aggregated usage data and the characteristics of the building, Portfolio Manager will calculate your building’s Energy Star score. In addition, Portfolio Manager will also allow you to generate Energy Star performance documents for your building that will help you to analyze and monitor your building’s energy consumption.
