Log In and Registration Help

 

How do I log In?

Enter your User ID and password. Your User ID must be between 6 and 40 characters. Your password must be between 6 and 10 characters and include at least one letter and one number. Both your User ID and password are case sensitive. Your User ID cannot be your account number and must be different than your password.

What are the User ID and Password recommendations? 

You are required to select a User ID and password to access your account. A good User ID and password are easy for you to remember, but difficult for someone else to guess. Your User ID must be between 6 and 40 characters and your password must be between 6 and 10 characters. Both are case sensitive. Your User ID cannot be your account number and must be different than your password. Please record your User ID and password and keep the information in a secure place.

How do I register as a new user? 

Step 1: Locate one of your Entergy bills

· Enter your account number from the bill.
· Enter your 5-digit zip code from your service location address.
· Optional: Enter your personal account description for use in identifying your account within "myAccount."
· Select the Bill Delivery Option for the account.

Step 2: Choose your User ID and Password

· Select a User ID. Your User ID must be between 6 and 10 characters and is case sensitive. Your User ID cannot be your account number and must be different than your password.
· Confirm your User ID.
· Select a password. Your password must be between 6 and 10 characters and is case sensitive. Your password must be different than your User ID. Reminder: a good password is easy for you to remember, but difficult for someone else to guess.
· Record your User ID and password and keep the information in a secure place.
· Confirm your password.

Step 3: Set up the Security information and email

· Select a Password Hint that will help you remember what your password is.  It is not recommended to put your password into the Password Hint.
· A list of Security Questions will be presented. You must select one question and provide your answer. In the event you have problems remembering your User ID in the future, this Security Question/Answer will be used to send your User ID to your registered email address.
· Enter and confirm the email address that you will want our correspondence sent to for this account. All "myAccount" related emails will be sent to this email address.

How do I change my password? 

Step 1: Login to "myAccount" using the User ID and password established during Registration

· Access the Change Password from the Function Bar on the left side of the screen.
· Enter your existing password.
· Enter and confirm your new password.

Step 2: Select a New Password

· Select a new password. Your password must be between 6 and 10 characters, contain at least one letter and one number and is case sensitive. Your password must be different than your User ID. Reminder: a good password is easy for you to remember, but difficult for someone else to guess.
· Confirm your password.
· Record your User ID and new password and keep the information in a secure place.
· Click on the submit button.
· An email will be sent to you confirming your password change.

What do I do if I forget my User ID and Password? 

Step 1: Select the Forgot My UserID/Password button on the Entergy Website

· If you have forgotten your User ID, Select the Security Question from the list that you chose during the registration process.
· Answer the question.
· Click on the submit button.
· After you have successfully answered the question, an email will be sent to your registered email address with your "myAccount" User ID.
· If you have forgotten your password, enter the email Address that is associated with this account.
· Click on the submit button.
· An email will be sent to your registered email address with your password.

What are security questions? 

The Security Questions are part of our online security process that is designed to help prevent unauthorized access to customer accounts. The Registration Security Question page consists of questions/answers that you must select and complete. This process helps protect your account from unauthorized access.

What happens if I have forgotten my security question and answers? 

If you cannot remember your "myAccount" User ID, then you will need to access your Security Question to help you log in to your account. You will be presented with a list of security questions that were presented at Registration. You will have to select the question that was chosen during registration. You will be required to answer it before proceeding. If you are unable to answer the question correctly, the system will not send the login information to your email address associated with your account. (This will not impact the account status, just your ability to view your account information online.)

How do the security questions affect my User ID and Password? 

The Security Questions have no effect on your online User ID or Password. The Security Questions are separate from your regular login ID and Password process. Both need to be correct to gain online account access.

How can I change or reset my security questions? 

You can change Security Questions at any time. To do so, log in to your account and go to the Change Password option in the left hand Function Bar.  This option allows you to change your account Password, Password Hint, and Security Question/Answer.
